HIRONOBU KAGEYAMA

Hironobu Kageyama was born in Osaka, Japan and formed the band LAZY at the age of 16. After releasing several hits together with LAZY, he debuted as a solo artist with the theme song for Dengeki Sentai Changeman. After this, he sang various theme songs for Saint Seiya, Casshan, Shinesman, and Dragon Ball Z – including the iconic “Cha-La Head-Cha-La” which sold more than 1.3 million copies!

Currently, he is the leader for the anisong super band JAM Project. Since 2003, he has received offers from anime conventions all over the world, and in 2008, he led JAM Project on a world tour across eight countries. He has also produced numerous hit anisongs and is very active worldwide.

In 2007, he released a self-produced original album “30years3ounce” as part of his 30th debut anniversary celebration. He also holds acoustic concerts on a regular basis all across Japan. In 2010, the 10th anniversary of JAM Project, he produced and released a new memorial album, put on a two-day concert at Budokan, and performed at more than 20 locations in Japan and overseas.

In 2012, JAM Project went on their first South America tour containing four stops. They attended the Lantis Festival in 2014 and 2015 which also included overseas performances. JAM Project is currently celebrating their 15th anniversary!

Besides signing, Kageyama’s hobbies including biking, skiing, and collecting guitars.
