Today, the threat of the Titans is a distant memory, and a boy named Eren yearns to explore the world beyond Wall Maria. But what began as a childish dream will become an all-too-real nightmare when the Titans return and humanity is once again on the brink of extinction. Attack on Titan is the award-winning and New York Times-bestselling series that is the manga hit of the decade! Spawning the monster hit anime TV series of the same name, Attack on Titan has become a pop culture sensation.

HAJIME ISAYAMA AUTOGRAPH SESSION – FRIDAY, NOV 18 – 2 PM ET
The Attack on Titan Hajime Isayama autograph session will be held similar to all other Japanese guest autograph sessions at Anime NYC. Tickets to this session are free and will be given out through a free autograph ticket lottery that starts at 6 PM Eastern on November 3 and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern on November 8. You must have an Anime NYC badge to take part in this giveaway.

Anime NYC conducts our ticketed autographs this way to give as many fans as possible a chance to take part and to prevent anyone from needing to wait hours in line or camp out overnight for the chance at an autograph.

All entries will be weighed the same, and it doesn’t matter when you enter. After our lottery is over, we will randomly pick winners and contact everyone who entered – whether you won or not. You can only enter the Hajime Isayama lottery once, and duplicate entries will be deleted. You MUST enter with your real name. If you win, when you claim your autograph ticket, you MUST show Photo ID. If your ID does not match the name you submitted online, you cannot claim your ticket. Autograph tickets are non transferable and not for resale. No exceptions.

Winners of Hajime Isayama’s autograph will need to attend his signing at 2 PM Eastern on Friday, November 18 at Anime NYC.

Isayama’s signing will take place in a private room and fans will enter individually to receive an autograph. No friends or companions may join them. Exceptions will be made for those under 18 or those with medical needs. In either case, a parent or guardian may also attend, but only one autograph will be given.

Hajime Isayama will only be signing official US standard trade paperbacks of volumes 1-34 of the Attack on Titan manga published by Kodansha USA. Please don’t bring Colossal editions, Japanese editions, Attack on Titan: Junior High, Attack on Titan: No Regrets, or any other editions or spin-offs, as he will be unable to sign them. All Isayama-sensei’s autographs will be personalized. In addition to his signature, he will also write the name of the fan he is meeting. Non-personalized autographs are not allowed. Isayama-sensei is unavailable to do selfies or hugs. Videos or photos of the signing are not permitted. Please no gifts.

Anime NYC Panel Reservation Update

Anime NYC was supposed to begin panel reservations tonight. In the lead up to it, we worked closely with our registration partner, Growtix, to develop a solution that would allow a large audience to simultaneously access reservations, and our key team together with Growtix all watched together at 6 PM Eastern when the registration site crashed.

Needless to say, we’re disappointed and frustrated that this happened.

Our goal with panel reservations is to make accessing our biggest panels easier than before. That was not the case today, and we want to share what we’re doing and where we’re at…

  • No one was able to make panel reservations today. No one got access while others were locked out. Zero panel reservations were made today.
  • We are not launching panel reservations today. We’re not keeping you in suspense and not launching later tonight. Zero panel reservations will be made today.
  • We are actively speaking with Growtix engineers about what went wrong and how this can be remedied, and we will update with a new launch day and time once this is set. We want to clearly communicate this in advance to assure all our audience is aware of our new time and plan.

Again, we know this is not how today was supposed to go, and our goal with all of this is to make panels easier to attend. The entire Anime NYC team is as disappointed and frustrated as you are, and we will share updates on our website, social media, and newsletter when our new plan is put together.
