If you were approved for a Professional Badge in 2020 and did not complete the payment process, you need to apply again in 2021. If you were approved in 2020, you will very likely be approved again this year, but you must re-apply.


Anime NYC is happy to welcome professionals across the anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture industries; professionals from the American licensing, publishing, streaming, media, marketing, and merchandising worlds; and librarians, academics, and educators, and we offer a Professional Badge to all approved applicants from these categories.

Professional registration is now open. You must register online. There is NO Professional registration onsite.



Professional Badges are $45 and provide…

  • Discount admission all three days of Anime NYC
  • Access to Anime NYC’s Expo Floor before the general public each morning. This is FIRST access not EARLY access, meaning you will be let in first, but not before the Expo Floor opens.

Professional Badges do NOT provide…

  • Guaranteed seating for any panel or event
  • Guaranteed guest autographs
  • Front of line access at any panel, autographing, or event
  • Access to any event that requires an additional ticket

You will receive an email stating whether your application is approved or not. If approved, you must complete your Professional registration with the link included in this email. If you do not complete this registration link, you will not be registered for Anime NYC.

There will be NO onsite Professional registration. You MUST apply online and fully complete the application. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. It is only after your application is reviewed and approved that a Professional Badge will be issued.

Please ONLY apply for your own Professional Badge. If you seek Professional Badges for additional members of your team, each must apply for their own badge. Multiple badges cannot be reserved with the same email address. Each member of your team must apply with their own email.

Professional Badges will NOT be mailed and must be picked up onsite at Anime NYC.

Anime NYC reserves the right to approve or deny all applications, and all Anime NYC decisions are final. Professional Badges are non-transferable. You may not loan or sell your Professional Badge, and any individuals conducting such behavior will be disqualified from Professional Badges at all future Anime NYC events.
