JAM PROJECT

The JAM in JAM Project is short for “JAPAN ANIMATION SONG MAKERS”. It was founded in 2000 by talented singers across the anisong world, and the super group’s current members are music legends Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endoh, Hiroshi Kitadani, Masami Okui, and Yoshiki Fukuyama. JAM Project was started with the following mission…

“Japanese animation came into the forefront of the world with numerous titles breaking records and becoming big hits throughout the globe. We are here to create and sing theme songs that deserve this success and advance Japanese animation! Lately, big-name artists make anime theme songs with tie-in strategies; however, it is so regrettable that we do not have more theme songs full of dreams and strength. It is our mission to boost up anime with songs as powerful as the rock-breaking Mazinger or Son Goku flying high in the sky!”

JAM Project is most recently known as being behind One-Punch Man’s Season 1 and Season 2 themes – “The Hero! ~Set Fire to the Furious Fist” and “Uncrowned Greatest Hero”. They are also behind themes to Super Robot Wars, Garo, Gravion, Sgt. Frog, Scrapped Princess, Mazinkaiser, Nobunaga the Fool, Panda-Z, Space Battleship Yamato 2199, and more.

With roars and shouting, JAM Project looks to make great anisongs for the sake of anime. They want to improve the theme song culture connected with both anime and video games, and JAM Project has established its own specific standpoint. First of all, JAM Project’s members all have legendary careers and voices with peculiar power. Second, JAM Project is involved in the creation of their theme songs, too. They aim to be both creators and performers to create great artwork.

JAM Project’s members also continue their own individual music careers separately as well and constantly inspire each other. They have done themes for Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Slayers, Macross, and more. Together, the rich personalities of JAM Project have released over 100 songs, and all of them are filled with the power and spirit of anime.

In 2008, JAM Project conducted successful live tours in Japan and overseas by visiting 10 cities in eight countries including the US, China, Taiwan, Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, France, and Spain. Since then, JAM Project has performed even more around the world in Singapore, Thailand, Italy, Germany, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and more. In 2009, starting with their first solo concert at Nippon Budokan, JAM Project conducted a tour across Japan including Osaka, Yokohama, and more. Fans of all ages came out to support them!

Like the heroes in anime, JAM Project always takes aim to make dreams come true!
