ANIME NYC MASQUERADE JUDGE APPLICATION

Thank you for your interest in judging Anime NYC’s Cosplay Masquerade, and we’re excited to get to know you. Before filling out this form, here’s a little bit about what it’s like to be a competition judge at Anime NYC.

All our judges are compensated for their time and effort. You will receive a fee, a complimentary guest badge, as well as an additional badge for a friend or handler if needed.

Prejudging may start as early as 8 AM, and the Masquerade may go as late as 11 PM. 30 minute breaks are worked into the prejudging schedule, and you will have at least 1 hour (but typically much more) between the end of prejudging and the beginning of your contest duties. Most of the time, the Masquerade is held on Saturday, however that is not guaranteed.

You may be asked to do a small amount of prejudging on Friday (we will confirm at least two weeks prior to the con). This is to accommodate more competitors and longer prejudging time slots. This is dependent on how many entries we receive, so it’s important you arrive by Friday early to accommodate these prejudging slots.

In the past, we have hosted feedback panels on Sunday afternoon, which our judges and competitors have both enjoyed. This is completely optional for you to participate in.

We are currently accepting applications for our 2024 show. Please note that this is a rolling application that is kept open all year long and for every show year. You may not receive any response from us if you fill out this form. We will only reach out to you if we are interested in having you as a judge. We do appreciate your understanding.
