Mel Kishida is an illustrator and character designer from Japan. He is the character designer for the Arland series of Atelier video games: Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland, and Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland.
Mel Kishida is the original designer and supervisor of the Blue Reflection project, which spans games, mobile, and TV animation. He’s also the character designer for the anime series Hanasaku Iroha and Heaven’s Memo Pad.
Other than being known as a character designer for many popular games and animations, he is also a famous personality in Japan due to his involvement and activities in many fields that go beyond the boundaries of an illustrator. He has appeared on variety shows on TV, cosplayed in Comiket, designed costumes for idol groups, and recently produced his own YouTube channel.
